Summer has come. It is raining. What a shock! We had a nearly full day of sun on Monday. It didn’t begin to rain until late in the afternoon. Just enough time for the guys to fix our front hall and door. Big improvement. As soon as it stops raining, I’ll take new pictures. Meanwhile … from summer days by the canal …

Are these the same guys who tried to fix your front door the first time?

Not as grand as your neighborhood, but very pretty, in its own way 🙂

I’m not too fond of grand except in nature and stone 🙂

It looks like one of those places where I could take a lovely walk. Hope there are benches on the way for a rest.

Benches and picnic tables, too. It’s a bit uneven, but I’ve seen some people managing with walkers, so it can’t be too bad. I’ve walked part of the way down. Garry hikes a pretty long distance. The path runs along the river and canal for miles. Good place to walk a dog, too … and many do walk dogs along it (leashed, however).

A nice post — that bridge is chameleon- like, changing by the season, the lighting, and, seemingly, the whim, I love it!

It is amazing how different in looks under different skies and weather. But rivers are like that, I think. They take on the trees and grass and everything nearby. Unlike the ocean, they are “local.” Cozy, almost, in a very wet way.
