It is a beautiful flower. I used to grow a bunch of them, but my garden has turned into a big pile of weeds. I can’t see myself planting it again. I think my outdoor gardening days are over. At least I have pictures.

Wild irises grow on Mt. Gilboa in Israel right around Passover. I climbed Mt. Gilboa to see them and they look just like the big ones, but half the size. Same color, though. That’s also when the while poppies are growing. It’s quite a sight.

I’m trying to stay optimistic, but I’m having a really hard time. It’s going to be at least three more months until we get vaccinated. That will make a full year in quarantine and that’s if we are lucky and get to the front of the line.

I know it is hard right now. Let’s hope that the new administration can move the vaccination process faster.

The problem is that it is in the hands of each state now — and if the Feds are frequently inept, they don’t compare with the ineptitude of the states. We are just screwed for the next few months and I’m trying to wrap my head around it without much success.

A complicated system.

It’s one of the rare times I wish the feds had control of the process. At least each state would have the same routine. It’s crazy time here.

You’re right if the federal government had the control of the vaccinations, it might work better.
