FOTD – April 25 – A dead bouquet
I love bouquets, but I hate throwing them away. I keep them until they fall completely apart. I know they need to go, but I can’t bring myself to put them in the trash. Of course eventually, I give in but not before pieces of flower are all over the table.

I think you often see more texture & interesting shapes in a wilted bunch; I often keep bouquets well past when most folk would throw them out 😃

I’m glad I’m not the ONLY one. And yes, those dying flowers have a lot of beauty in their own way.

Me too, which is why I keep them so long. They really have to be long past wilted before I can bring myself to throw them away. Even though I know that flowers will always die, even when they are still part of the plant. Death is part of life, but I don’t have to like it.
