THURSDAY’S SPECIAL: TRACES OF THE PAST Y4-05
This time, it’s something old, in color.
Lacking cathedrals and mansions, we’ll have to settle for just old things. Like me?
Okay, not me.
Something else, but what? How about the old mansions along the dock in Rockport, Massachusetts. This picture was taken at sunrise on July 4th, at five in the morning.

Fabulous, and shot in a perfect light 🙂 Marilyn thank you for being an early bird and for capturing this beauty.

And it was dawn. The light was that wonderful rosy gold and all the houses were facing east to the sun. Rockport is a beautiful place!

Love those balconies and stairs, it’s almost (Quebec)French in nature.

A lot of the people in that area came down from Canada during the 1800s when there was more work in Massachusetts, so probably there’s a relationship.

The design looks a lot like you’d find in Quebec…

I have a couple of shots elsewhere that are more birds, less roof. Maybe I’ll fix up one of them, too 🙂

I dragged myself out of bed at 4:15 in the morning for those shots. I SHOT. A lot. Good that I did because we never did get back there again.
