Our friends took us to this thing called The Blaze. It’s huge and includes thousands of professionally-carved pumpkins. Everything in these photos is a real carved pumpkin. Amazing.
This is why the podcast was late, but what a great experience!

Amazing, really. Pity they have such a short life, but maybe that adds to their appeal.

Quite amazing… I would love to be able to carve like that!

I used to be able to carve pretty well. You need the right tools — and the right pumpkin. And imagination 🎃

I tried it once, and it was a lot harder than I thought…

I think I’ve been lucky with my hands. I can draw, play music, type, carve, refinish furniture. I’ve always thought it was easy. Lately I’ve come to realize I just got a gift and never thought much about it. I was sure anyone could do the same things.
