Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Soft Pastels
Everything is so bright in New England in October, it’s a surprise to find the softer colors. They are here, though, waiting to be discovered.

A field of bright foliage contrasts with the gentlest blue of the mountains

Beautiful colours! Your photos are sending me on a trip to my memory how I felt about autumn in my childhood- all the crispy, transparent, dreamy, mysterious colours and sounds, the smell of fresh leaves and smoke from fires. Makes you jittery and nervous about what’s waiting for you next. Thank you!

Sure does!! Today we went up the mountain again and it was so bitterly cold with the wind blowing, we took a few pictures and headed back down the mountain. It’s perhaps 40 degrees colder than yesterday and there’s damp chill in the air that screams “hello winter.” And I am NOT ready.

Those dreamy, misty mountains really called to me 🙂 Kind of like Middle Earth!

Thank you. It’s raining again today …. so … no new pictures until the sun shows his shining self again. I took some rain pictures yesterday, but rain doesn’t photograph well. Or at least — I don’t photograph it well.
