What happens when you’ve got a couple of cute Scottish Terriers, lots of cameras, and the sun is shining?
Photography! Pictures of (you guessed it) Scottish Terriers. Bonnie and Gibbs, on a Saturday in September. Obviously exhausted from a hard day of cadging biscuits and battling throw cushions.
It’s a hard life, but someone’s gotta do it.

You can’t have just one. They are addictive. A brindle and a wheaten sound very lovely. Pictures??

I find Gibbs has a very masculine face and Bonnie has sweet girl face.

I can assure you those pups are working a lot harder than I am this week. My goal is to solidify into an unmovable mass in front of this computer before I go back to work Friday night. I might need someone to feed me a biscuit or two…

And they know it. They practice. And learn each others’ tricks.

Gibbs always looks a little sad. Not sure why, Im sure he’s having a rollicking good time, but his expression is a bit pensive. Like you say, thinking of things.

Yes. That sad looks gets him extra cookies. He looks soulful. He IS thinking. He is one smart terrier.

Gibbs is becoming more and more friendly with Marilyn and me. He is SOLID muscle. He has a thing about the couch pillows and the doggy couch covers. They are his mortal enemies. He’s already killed two covers. I mean, he sent them to their big sleep. He’s also a primary perp in the on going Late Mid Summer Birthday Party murder investigation. I think he’s about to lawyer up.

That photo in the murder story, of (I’m assuming) Gibbs, lurking behind the greenery…oh, the devious little fella…
A dog (or cat, or any animal) abused or misused as he was, takes time to learn trust again. I have two cats right now, one was part of a bonded pair, and only now, after four years, will he actually stay in the same room with humans. We don’t push, but we do tug now and then, and he’s getting better. It also helps if they (like Gibbs) have a role model in another animal that they see treated well. It can make a huge difference. And a bit of jealousy can work miracles.

Judy, that’s Gibbs lurking in the bushes. We supposedly can’t see him. He and Bonnie have bonded nicely. exchanging “bits”.
I confess I’m a bit jealous that Bonnie is giving Gibbs more attention that me.
