Just gray and chilly here. We have (supposedly) a couple of sunny days coming up this week, but we’ll see. I want the sun, but I don’t want the caterpillars. Makes the decision more difficult!

It’s variable here. You get a bit of sun then it rains but it is warm now.

Pretty raw down here. Not bitter like winter, but not warm or pleasant.

So far, so good. But last year, they didn’t really take over till June, so there’s still a while to wait. Practically holding my breath!

It was the middle of june last year. so we are still waiting to see, though other areas already have the chewers.

Love the path by the canal. I love walking alongside water

The horses dug the path more than a century ago, but it makes for very comfortable walking now and a lot of people bring their dogs.

The river is the center of this little valley-world. When it is full and deep, it is almost like a little ocean. With big herons and swans and ducks and geese. Even trout (imagine that)!

An interesting bridge railing construction and the view on the lake through the trees is a good shot.

All the lakes and ponds are really just wide areas of the river which flows everywhere. You cannot live in the valley and be more than a quarter of a mile from the river, in some form. I love the little foot bridges best. They have elegance and are pretty 😀
