I have an extensive glass collection. It is scattered all through my house. It’s my pride and joy in decorating. I thought I would share some of my collection with you. I hope you enjoy it!
Glad you too appreciate glass as an art form. I set up an entire wall of bookcases to showcase some of my glass collection. I even installed lighting behind the glass to show it off. It’s ver dramatic. I’ll add a photo of the bookcase to my next blog about my glass.
I don’t know the designers or origin of mostnpieces. I got many online and many at antique shops and exhibits, so I don’t know much about each piece. The bowls came from a mid century modern design shop, and some of the paperweights. So I at least know the time period they came from.
Thanks, Marilyn. Coming from you, that’s quite a compliment. I always looked for pieces that were particularly vivid or unique. So there’s a great deal of variety in my collection, even among the paperweights.
These are beautiful, especially the bowl and the paperweight that follows it in this post! I also have a collection of paperweights, collected from such places as Mt St Helens, Corning NY, and the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach. They’re all packed for my projected move early next year, and I can’t wait to see them again!
Thanks! I have glass in almost every room.?when I redecorated my house, glass was my go to decorating tool. I still smile when I look around me at all this beauty and creativity!
Fun. I am also a glass fan. Have done a little glassworks, too. Fun stuff. Maybe next life I’ll get good at it

Have you seen the work of Dale Chihuly? He had an exhibit in Toronto a couple of years ago.

The glass is just beautiful. I’ve always liked that style of paperweight. Are they Caithness?

I really like the closeups of the bowl–all those curvy blues and greens are so pretty.

I love the curves on the bowls too. I’m attracted to curvy, swirly pieces. They are particularly dramatic in glass.
