A Photo a Week Challenge: Colorful
Sunday (aka the day after tomorrow) will bring, in order, snow, sleet, freezing rain, and finally, rain. I know we had some crocus, but it’s buried under 18 inches of snow.
These are eighteen inches of frozen hard snow. Nothing fluffy or fun about it. I’m hoping the rain ultimately washes most of it away.
So, as you can imagine, colorful is later this year or memories of last year. I cannot bring forth the colors to come, so I shall revisit the flowers from days of yore.

Even though it was a little later than usual, we’ve also had a fair amount of snow this year. The schools here had the first snow day in three decades. (Utah schools are very reluctant to close for snow because the parents complain about the makeup days.) I love your memories of the days of yore. Very colorful. 🙂

We got a lot of wind and rain and also patches of serious cold, but we didn’t get any significant snow until March. I thought we’d made a clean winter. Nope. But at least it’ll be a SHORT winter! At least today it is sunny!

We have sun today, too, but it’s supposed to snow again overnight. Meteorologists are predicting light shoveling in the morning.

Our snow isn’t white anymore. It’s hard, crusty, and grey and I for one will be glad to see the end of it. Thank you for those photos of your blooming garden Marilyn, it’ll get us through this season.

You should just see what the dogs have done to it. Yuck.

It’s all around here too…

I told Leslie about the dogs changing the color of snow in their front yard. I didn’t want to hit the “TMI” button.

Lots of beautiful colour here, Marilyn. Of course, white is also a colour. 🙂

White is no color. I think — but I could be wrong — that black is all colors. It could be the other way around. I used to know

I think it all depends on how technical one wants to get. 🤣

Clearly, I am no longer technical enough. But I think it was white. I should look it up.

I did look it up and there are different schools of thought on this, depending on where you’re coming from. 😃

I’ve forgotten why white is not a color. Is it the absence of hue, pigmentation?

That’s what I do, when in need of colour in winter…

And sidewalks without ice. Mostly, for me, it’s wanting the snow to melt — at least off the driveway and sidewalks.

Hard to remember! It will come around again, though. I hope!
