hope u don’t have that flu i had. took over a week to get over it. Rose is still coughing. seems chronic. then it took me another week to recover from the meds. i feel like was addicted or something? now i’m tired all the time. haven’t recovered my strength. on it goes …
It’s a virus and it’s going around and not just here. The worst problem is that it is incredibly contagious and there are states closing down schools until everyone feels better. And because it’s a virus, there’s nothing you can do about it. I knew I was coming down with it (again!!!) yesterday and it hit me in the middle of the night. Which was kind of “it” for sleep.
It’s that time of year. Right around the holidays, everyone gets something. And because we are “out and about” more, we bring our nascent germs with us when we don’t even KNOW we are contagious. I swear every time I go to the supermarket, within a couple of days, I’ve got something. The problem is, sometimes, you really have to do something. Like … go OUT.
I know. I agree. Fully…. here in France many children go to school, they sneeze and cough and although the teacher tells them to put an arm in front of their mouth, they have never learned to do that (it’s not in their genes) and the whole class is knocked out in no time. I had a teacher living with us for a year and even SHE was sick half of the time….
It’s the famed norovirus. It is very contagious, icky, yucky and Garry and I keep transferring it back and forth. I told him today — for at least a week, we have to make our own food, I’m pretty sure that’s how we are moving it back and forth.
I’m getting pretty tired of this. We’ve been passing it between us since the summer and now they are closing schools until everyone gets better. Unfortunately, there’s still the grocery store!
Marilyn, SORRY. MOST of this — MY fault. You went out last night when you should not have. You did it to support me, get me to my speaking contest venue and offer support during the event. SORRY!
We are going to start making our own food because food seems to be how it is transferred. My hands are pruney from being washed, but apparently viruses are not interested in mere soap and water.
We’ve been swapping a virus back & forth since the summer — and we have to find a way to get rid of it. I thought you weren’t posting since I didn’t get anything from your site. I’d better check to see if we are still connected. How are you two managing?
I have stuff posted for the next couple of days, but I’m pretty worn out. We’ve been passing this back and forth between us for months. Today I said we should make our own food because I think that’s how we are transferring it. So it’s going to be sandwiches and soup and a lot of sleep for the next few days and hopefully we’ll both be better.
It’s a virus and it’s contagious. I think if we both make our own food, maybe that will stop it. It’s REALLY going around. They are closing schools until everyone stops being sick! I think this may be a first.
Get better quickly 😀

I was coming down with it anyway. I knew it, but knowing doesn’t make it stop.

Here’s hoping that the new year is less virus-ridden than the last one.
