YELLOW BIRDS TO BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY AND MINE
When the power came back on last night, I managed to format enough pictures for your squares, but there are a lot more. And I took some more today, though I haven’t yet downloaded them. I have quite a few more in this batch to process.
I don’t know if I will do all of them. Maybe I’ll save a few for later. Right now, my yellow sunbeam birds are brightening the forest and my life.
I need the sunshine they bring with them!

A lot of the pictures were blurry. It was pouring rain and the windows were also covered with drops. I needed to do something to give the pictures some shape, otherwise, they were just yellow blurs.

These are wonderful, Marilyn, and we all need a few rays of sunshine at the moment. 🙂

That was a really bad day. The light was great, but visibility was bad. Heavy rain and rain covered windows made everything very soft. This way, at least you can see the shapes of the birds. Otherwise, it was just a blur.

You certainly made the best of a really bad day then! The effect is amazing, and they still managed to look like little rays of sunshine. Thank goodness for nature, eh? 🙂

Today it’s pretty nice. Not outrageously sunny, but at least not pouring rain!

Oh, and you can’t miss with Belafonte!

It took me all afternoon to find that version of the song. I kept getting the Kingston Trio or worse, Lawrence Welk. But I was sure I’d heard Belafonte sing it. I used to have all his records (real records, on vinyl) and while they are long gone, I remembered the song. I was sure it didn’t originate with the Kingston Trio, no offense intended. It also didn’t originate with Harry. It has been around a long time, but it is a folk song from the Caribbean. I’m big on the Caribbean 🙂

never heard before, have thoroughly enjoyed this morning 🙂

The song is a Caribbean folk song. I don’t know who first sang it, but hearing the Kingston Trio try to do Caribbean accents was too silly for me.
