FOTD – January 28 – Columbine
When we first moved here, we planted a couple of columbine. Unlike most of our flowers, these have multiplied and fill the garden in May. All of ours are “hot pink” or something close to it. They are among my favorite flowers.

Oops, wrong post. When I answer through “comments,” I sometimes think I’m in one place, but I’m not. Yes, the flowers are wonderful. I do love those columbine, especially because they are so easy to grow and continue to spread and grow.

You just love teasing us in the frozen hinterlands don’t you!?
Just gotta get past February …

Hey, it’s SNOWING here and it’s bitterly cold. I’m just reminding us that there will be a springtime — eventually — just like someday we’ll get vaccinated. Someday.

Always one of my favourites.

They look like wild flowers, though I know I planted these originally. But they fit in so well with the wildflowers. Meanwhile, it’s snowing and it’s cold and there are NO vaccines anywhere within 100 miles of where we live. I’m sure things will change, but will we be alive when they do?

They look so delicate and yet here they do grow wild and are incredibly resilient. I think the same could be said of the people. in whose garden they grow 😉

I love columbine’s and the fact that once you have them, they continue to pop up everywhere, every year…
