FOTD – March 29 – JAZZY FLOWERS
I took a bunch more pictures of orchids and Easter lilies. I tried some different filters, just to see how the pictures would turn out. I rather enjoyed the result, so here they are. There are a lot photos waiting to be posted, so I’m trying to not take even more pictures. They look so pretty, shining at me on the table. Even on a miserable, cold rainy day like today, the sun is always shining in my flower room.

Thank you🪻They really improve my state of mind — maybe because in all this wet, chilly pre-spring weather, the are rays of sunshine

I like these effects too – the first and third photos especially appeal to me, perhaps because they are the sunniest-looking ☀

I tend to prefer soft or muted rather than bright colors, but I decided to try something different. I was surprised at how much I liked brighter colors. Maybe it is because the weather has been so grimly grey and dark this whole past year. This is the MOST annual rainfall in more than 200 years, so we don’t merely feel like it rains all the time. It REALLY rains most of the time.

The rainfall has been breaking records here too 😦

We are going to have a pretty good weekend, but another big rain is due next week. I am so tired of gray skies and mud. It’s either drought or flood these days. No in between.

Thank you! I just decided to try brightening pictures because it is still grey and rainy. I thought maybe if the pictures were brighter, my mood would brighten. Supposedly we are going to be seeing more seasonal temperatures next week — or at least some time in April. It has been a cold, wet spring

Thanks. Most of them are basic photoshop filters — and mostly all I did was brighten and increase contrast a bit. I typically tend toward muted colors but thought, since it has been grey and rainy all year, brighter colors might brighten me too.

Thank you. It has rained ALL week with more to come. I thought brighter colors would feel more like spring. It really has been so awfully dark and grey.

The funny thing is the actual flowers often appear at least this bright when we get the occasional sunny day. We live in hope of more sun. It has been a super wet year.
