We occupy the two chair recliners — except the moment we are gone, all the furniture belongs to the Duke.
Isn’t this the way it’s supposed to be? What’s the point in having a dog if you can’t spoil them?

Thanks so much. I had to take pictures because I bought new chairs and new carpets. It’s the best my house has looked in years, though the Duke is working hard to make it look like his beloved crate. You know. Messy and full of dog toys/

They all look comfortable on their own seats!

And they get annoyed with us if we change the furniture arrangement. Duke has never forgiven us for getting new chairs and no long sitting on the loveseat. He holds grudges.

Dogs rule, especially in this house. They’ve been lording it over us for years. Good thing they are also friendly and funny 🐕

just like cats, dogs own you! at least that’s the way nature has intended it. but i love dogs so much, i’d allow them anything (except sleeping in my bed). Lovely pics.

We kept all the dogs out of our bed until suddenly, Duke was the only dog. We tried forcing the poor creature to sleep on the sofa in the living room, but he was going to break down the door if we didn’t let him in. Now we all struggle for covers. Duke wins pretty much every time.

Sometimes he even lets us keep some of the bed covers! Sometimes — like last night — not so much.
