TREES – CEE’S BLACK AND WHITE CHALLENGE

Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Trees

The colorful autumn leave as well as delicate shades of green leaves will lose something when translated to black and white. However, the shape and form of trees in black and white is amplified, especially in silhouette against a bright sky.

    • Thank you very much. I think palms have such a clearly defined shape, it makes them easy to recognize in silhouette. Much easier than the trees around here … which are also much bigger.

  10. You have some interesting trees, especially the palm trees which we would never see in our area. The Italia part of Switzerland and along the lake of Geneva also have a few palm trees because the climate is milder.

    • The palm trees were all taken in Arizona. Locally, we probably have more or less the same trees you do — oak and other hard woods. Pine trees of various kinds. One of the more fun things about travelling is getting to photograph different stuff. I don’t know which I like better: the palms or the cacti.
