Beautiful scenery and photos … they all work well in black and white. 😀

Thanks, Cee. I have to test run them. Some don’t work as well, so i go through quite a few before I pick a bunch of them.

On the right day, the river and canal are like a mirror.

That first one feels like the start of an amazing adventure or novel.

Well, if you had a kayak, you could adventure as far as the canal goes. I think it goes quite a ways … miles, anyway. Parts of it are blocked by fallen trees, et al, but there’s still a good deal of open flat water.

How fabulous, an adventure to be undertaken.

And people do it, though usually, in the river rather than the canal. I think there are too many blocked areas in the canal. They have not been taking care of it. But there are long stretches of river that are great for canoes or kayaks.

The Blackstone areas looks very good, especially the reflections in the first photo

The areas near the river — that part of the river, anyway — are good soil and rather rich. Otherwise, it’s mostly orchards and truck farms — tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, squash. All the really huge crops are grown in the midwest — Kansas, Iowa — the rich, flat lands.
