I have no fashion worth discussing — but my dolls are well-dressed! I need to take better pictures, but there are so many. I get discouraged looking at all of them.

I used to know a lot of women who made clothing for dolls and had original patterns from the 30s, 40s, and 50s. They made wonderful clothing.

have any of them bakelite (or similar) heads, and real looking hair? Or even, heaven permit, porcellaine hands & feet. THEN you’re sitting on good money.

I have old ones from the thirties that are pre plastic. I know some of them are worth money, but there’s no place to market them these days.

It’s a wonderful collection. Are they all in their original outfits?

Not all. About half of them. But all have undergone some kind of repair, some very minor, some pretty major.

Marilyn your dolls are collectors items. Do you have a kijiji there in the the States? It’s an online sales facility. It’s free to put you item out for sale. I sold a canoe that way and I got a very good price for it (cash). You could try to do that with you your dolls.

We have eBay and Craig’s list, neither is good for that. There were others, but the 2008 fiscal crisis ended that.

Put a notice up in your grocery store… anywhere, you never know someone may be looking for them.
