Teddy My Bear

Teddy is a reproduction, created for the 100th anniversary of the original Teddy (Roosevelt) Bear. He has lived with me for about 6 years. He (she?) has his (her?) own Windsor chair. I had the hat with the feathers. It fit perfectly and has been on his/her head for some years now. Either he’s a dashing, musketeer sort of Teddy Bear … or a lovely female bear. I have asked him to clarify his position vis-à-vis male vs. female, but he/she has not yet answered. I live in hope.

  1. The photo top right looks like he’s saying, rather imperiously, “The next supplicant may approach the throne.” I hope he’s in a merciful mood 🙂

    • Absolutely 🙂 I also have a lot of little beanies, bought for pennies on ebay after the fad was over. They sit around on the tops of radios, shelves, TVs … just to remind me that life needn’t be all tears and rending of garments.

  4. What a lovely bear! I have a Boyd’s Teddy (Roosevelt) Bear too, but mine is definitely a boy. … He is one of many bear’s that keep good company in our home. A throw back to my childhood. … There are worse things 😉
