Share your World 14th March (Almost the Ides!)
We are supposed to get a giant snowstorm tomorrow. I’m having trouble believing it. It’s WARM outside. In the 40s which is not really winter weather. Unless the temperature drops a lot tonight, I simply don’t see how we can collect much snow.

Here are your questions this week:
What kind of music do you like?
This is one of those questons which is impossible for me to answer. It’s easier for me to say what I don’t like: hip hop and rap. I keep trying, but it doesn’t work for me. It isn’t musical. It sometimes has interesting words and ideas, but it doesn’t sound like music. It lacks melody. It’s not singable. Sorry. I just can’t seem to get my head wrapped around it.
Otherwise, from plainchant to Classical to country, folk, pop, rock — pretty much everything else, I like. I have favorite artists and favorite songs but no single type of music that’s “it” for me. I’m as likely to listen to Beethoven as the Beatles. Maybe more likely.
What is your favourite food?
Sea food. Shrimp tempura is the top of my personal food chain.
What is your favourite tipple?
Pineapple Fanta? At the moment. I like fruit flavored stuff. I don’t drink booze and to be fair, I never really did. I gave it a try, but it makes me sick. A little makes me high. More than a couple of sips and I’m actually ill. This was always true.
For those who don’t drink, what do you order when out with friends?
I can’t remember the last time I was out with friends, but going out with Garry the other night? Green tea, thank you very much. And otherwise, coffee is a good choice.
What relaxes you? Music, reading, walking, yoga, pot?
Anything that makes me laugh. We are currently watching “History of the World Part II” on Hulu. It’s not as funny as Part I, but it’s (sadly) much more relevant.
Gratitude: How often do you have some ‘Me Time’?
I’m retired. “Me time” is whenever I don’t have something else I’m obligated to do.

You have a great week too! It’s snowing pretty hard here right now, but I’m still not expecting much of it to stick.

We had some flurries recently but it didn’t come to anything. It’s been a nice day today until around 5pm then we had some rain and it’s got colder. The wind here is bitterly cold so we have to wrap up if we go out for a walk. Maya has her own fleecy hi-vis jacket now and associates it with a walk, so quite happy to put her head in!

As to that last question, I have to steal precious minutes for me time. My obligations know no bounds!

I have a lot of obligations which is why I’m blogging less. No matter how hard we try, the number of hours in a day never changes so we are the ones who have to change. I have to create dinner every day or nearly. I am the official “keeper-tracker” and bill payer of our lives. The official “make all necessary phone calls” person since Garry will not voluntarily use the phone — ever. And of course, there’s the blog. Even at TWO posts a day it still eats up a few hours.
I had to make room for me. It wasn’t easy at first, but it has become a lot easier as I’ve gotten it worked out.

You sound like me, I am the one who does most things around here, and I’m the official carer for my sister. If I ever find ways to make more time, I will let you know!

I like your answers Marilyn! Me time is so important! I don’t like seafood, but music, I’m with you, I like most genres!

I always think people who don’t like seafood haven’t had the chance to have the fresh seafood you get if you live on a seacoast. But my son doesn’t like it either.
I’m very eclectic about music. I’m glad I’m not the only one!
