From wooden footbridges to highway bridges. And at least one railroad bridge. A couple of times since we’ve moved here, a bridge needed to be removed and replaced and we really learned how important bridges are in this valley. There were places we didn’t even try to go because, without bridges, they were a long, long drive.
That’s because we have a LOT of rivers! Every years or two, a bridge gets bad enough to need repair and we discover how much we need bridges! A two-mile drive becomes a 10-mile drive when you have to find a different bridge to cross!
All kinds of bridges there.

Without the bridges you would be so isolated…

Without the bridges, we’d need a lot of boats. And ferries.

Thanks, Cee. We don’t have those big bridges, but we have a lot of waterways, so we lots of little ones and some of them are very pretty.

And I live in a river valley, so there’s a lot of bridges, the condition of which is often more than a little dubious.

That’s quite a collection! 🙂
There might have been one too many?… or is that a bridge too far?? 😉

Ouch! Actually, considering that this valley is nothing but rivers and streams and tributaries and ponds, we could use a few MORE bridges 😀
