This is the only time of year when I have such a wealth of photographs. Autumn in New England is incredibly photogenic. If you can’t take beautiful pictures in New England in the fall, give up photography. You are beyond help.

Miss those reds. Oranges. and a few dozen other colors we don’t get out here.

It all depends on what trees you have. It’s the maples that give you the bright reds and orange. Birch give a nice yellow, as do alder. Oaks? Just brown/bronze. Sassafras sometimes gives a nice deep red. Up here, not a lot of maples. Mostly pine and birch, so that’s what you have — evergreen, yellow, with a bit of red here and there. It’s still beautiful, though. Bright!!
