A PHOTO A WEEK: SERIES
IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A SERIES OF PHOTOS THAT TELL A STORY.
Finally, unbroken steps! We hadn’t been able to use the steps in more than a year. A bit steep, but glad to know they won’t collapse under us. And two years later …

whoa they do look steep! but at least they are sturdy

Before being replaces, there were steps that were actually almost rotted through. We had roped them off because they were unsafe. Now, they are safe … in theory anyway 🙂

Something lasting. I shouldn’t type at night on my iPad.

I would strap on the old parachute.

I don’t use those stairs to go down. I use the inside stairs. Longer, but safer. I do use them to go up, though. It’s the shortest route to the kitchen from the driveway.

Shortest route, plus great exercise.

They really are steep. Good to have those railings on both sides. You can hold on going up or down.

I do not go down, but I do go up. I’ve never been good with heights anyway, and now I’m really bad. So I don’t take the risk.

I would be with you there. Not much for heights either.

I fell a couple of times when I was young. I still remember that horrible feeling and I never want to relive it.

That will do it and those steps are rather steep.

Leslie, those steps are a challenge in the wee small hours.

Garry, they look like a challenge anytime. We have a split-level so you would never fall more than 6 steps. That looks like a full run. Ouch!

I like the way the wood has weathered to fit in with the rest of the stairs. Nice series of photos

Until i compared the photos, I didn’t realize it now matches the older wood. The new stairs are a big improvement. The old ones were treacherous and rotted in places.
