Black & White Sunday: Couple(s) – From Paula at LOST IN TRANSLATION
Humans are not the only creatures who hook up in couples. Many birds do it. I don’t know if bees do it. I think not. But wolves do … and apparently, so do cockroaches. Don’t complain to me. I’m not the one who did the research!

I was expecting a black swan with a white and the same with the dogs. I wonder why the mind compartmentalizes an expectation in such black and white terms?

Oddly, even though I knew black and white was referring to the processing, not the picture content, I thought somehow it should be two things, one black, one white. The mind does read things in its own way 🙂

Cockroach love…. you know, someone should make a song about that! Or better yet, a romantic comedy…

Maybe you should give Buster a companion, Cocky Roach. And his faithful bride. Did you know that roaches mate for life? How long is a cockroaches life? Is it dependent on Raid?

I love that last one especially- and it is great in black and white!

Thanks 🙂 Much to my surprise. It was a little washed out in color, but it came out much better balanced (tonally speaking) in black & white.

Thank you. Taken by a passing stranger. Right moment, right camera, right stranger 🙂

You and Garry are so adorable. You were whispering to him about the cockroaches, weren’t you? 😀

I was just trying (successfully, I guess) to make him laugh. I think it tickles him when I whisper in his ear 🙂 And it makes his hearing aid scream with feedback.

I like the last one best. Is it a selfie?

It was taken by a passing stranger on his way home from upstate NY to Connecticut. He obviously knew how to use a camera 🙂 This is one of those surprises. I never though about doing this in black and white, but it really looks MUCH nice. I wouldn’t have guessed.
