Oh, how the trees sparkle in that early snow! So beautiful to look at, so slippery underfoot.
And don’t forget the ice! That too is full of wintry sparkling.

We are still having warmer than normal temperatures. We are in the 50’s most days and should be 60 by Monday.

Beautiful pictures, though they remind me why I don’t miss the cold, snowy, icy winters of New England.

I love looking at it. I don’t like LIVING in it.

What I miss the least is having to shovel snow. Ugh.

I know. And that was just LAST winter, which wasn’t too bad. Sigh.

Rumour has it there will be a lot of snow but it won’t be so cold.

I have learned to not listen to the rumors. They are almost always wrong. But everyone is sure that you can tell by how heavy your pet’s coat is, or how big the acorns.

That is definitely a way to sparkle. So much so that my hairdresser accompanied me to my door today in case I might have fallen on the path (she lives opposite).

It’s probably the ONLY good thing I can say about winter. I am not a big fan of ice and snow. I loved it when I could romp in it but these days, it’s all about NOT falling down. We live in snowy climates. That’s our lives.

Those are such beautiful pictures! Thank you so much for sharing your “sparkle”, although I enjoy the tidbits of sparkle I witness through what you write. It’s a completel delight.

I wish I could live on all the pictures of snow rather than having MORE snow. Not likely, but sometimes, snow waits until late January or February. We live in hope!!

We had a skiff of snow the first of November, then the Pineapple Express moved in and warmed things up. Last year it was December 1 when we got our first snow fall and then a huge dump before Christmas. They are calling for 2 feet more this year than last, we’ll see. One of the advantages of having grown kids and grand kids, they get to do the work in that department, I’m unable. I get to enjoy. Sometimes it makes me feel a tad guilty, ….. no, no, not so much! haha

Well, I sure can’t either. My son makes sure we get plowed and we pay the plower. HE is getting too old for this, too. How strange when your kids get too old for the heavy work.

My favourite saying used to be, “when did you get old when I didn’t!” it used to get a lot of laughs.

Thank you 🙂 I’m hoping we can live on the memories rather than a whole new winter of white. I’m not lacking sentiment. I’m just tired of snow.
