A FINAL SPIKY TUESDAY – Garry Armstrong

Our final spiky Tuesday

I went out to drop off a package at FedEx and took a camera. Marilyn hasn’t been getting out much unless you count visiting the doctor and tests, so I feel an obligation to always have a camera with me.

It was coincidental but has a lot to do with fences and a general pointedness that’s part early spring in New England. Everything is poking up, but no leaves are out so everything is poky, pointy, and spiky.

Marilyn, having squared my pictures, has deemed this the right pictures du jour.

As a reporter for Channel 7 in Boston for 31 years, I was witness to most of the major events affecting the region. I met a lot of people ... politicians, actors, moguls, criminals and many regular folks caught up in extraordinary situations. Sometimes, I write about the people I've met and places I've been. Sometimes, I write about life, my family, my dogs and me. Or what might otherwise be called Life.

    1. She has been busy with doctor appointments. March is my month of medical. Every year. This year, it’s going to run on into April but I’m hoping by the middle of next month, I’ll have a little breathing room. It seems I had all my surgeries in March, so I have all my follow-ups and test in March. It has become an annual MARATHON!

      1. I tried to whip up some magic — but it wasn’t a magical day. Not even close. I shot the boats with “Key Largo” and Bogie in mind. A guy came by and asked what I was doing. I mumbled something about “I’m trying to find Johnny Rocco’s boat. He’s gotta get to Cuba, quick”. The guy looked at me, obviously wondering about my sanity.

        1. Leslie, I saw a lone ant slowly moving across the kitchen floor last night. I guess he was on recon patrol. His gang will never get the intell.

    1. Leslie, ditto about the weather. It’s so hum-drum. Today it’s dreary and overcast. Haven’t been out yet so I don’t know about the temp. How’s your weather, Leslie?
