A Photo a Week Challenge: Twisted
It is a big year for the twisting vines in our woods. They are so thick you can barely see the tree. And then, there are the wires. No matter how carefully you put them away, they will still be all twisted when you try to set them up again!

It’s the Virginia Creeper. It always turns red first, before any of the trees.

Virginia creeper turns scarlet, but it also turns purple and sometimes, it looks downright blue or purple (sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference).

That squirrel looks quite able to take care of any recalcitrant vines that come his/her way!
