BIRD WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: BIRDS IN OR NEAR SNOW (PART DEUX)

BIRDS IN  OR VERY NEAR SNOW (PART Deux)

It snowed today again. Not a lot. Just about an inch, but it put a nice white icing on our trees and grass and of course, the deck.

I have about 400 new, this week or even today, bird pictures and that’s after deleting everything where the bird was missing, or autofocus shot the dirt on the glass rather than the birds. And the ones which are too dark or too contrasty or just uninteresting … that left at least 400 pictures that had some potential. But since this challenge is up and I have birds to go, here are more birds in the the great, chilling, windy, snowy, northeastern section, aka New England.

  1. Great birding you got going on. We have the same thing here. Birds are all over the feeders!

    • This morning they are nominally less crazy than yesterday, but that’s probably because all three feeders are full. It’s interesting that all of a sudden, we have hordes of Blue Jays. Before this winter, we rarely saw any!

      • It’s amazing the birds that we have had this year that we normally don’t. We have several types of seed out and it draws different birds. Sorry I’m so late to respond but finished the holiday rush with my orders and had to start cleaning my house. My BFF & husband will be here around noon today. My house has been neglected for 6 weeks while I’ve worked my Etsy shop. Cold front is coming tonight and we will have freezing temps for the next two days. No precipitation after the first rain comes in. It would be nice to have snow for Christmas since we haven’t had anything stick since 1989. 🙂
