I love every color of turquoise and it certainly comes in many colors, from almost black to nearly white, with every shade of green and blue, with and without other mixed in colors. Some people are into the silverwork, but for me, it’s the stones.
Good light, good lens 😀 And some really nice Navajo jewelry which I pretty much never wear anymore. Maybe now that Garry can hear, we will go somewhere and I will wear some of it again 😀
Thank you. Sometimes, the process works better than at other times. Worked well for these. It really depends so much on whether or not the light was right.
We were always told to photograph our jewelry on a cloudy day at the beach! This is when I was in metal smithing class. The clouds acted as a diffusing screen.
Yes. Sold all our photographic equipment when I left the states. The guy talked me into paying after Xmas so he could buy his kids presents and he never did pay. Tripods, cameras, umbrellas, strobe lights with timer, backdrops. Creep.
I had a set too, but it wasn’t expensive, so I gave it to someone who could use it. I didn’t imagine I’d want it anymore, but these days, I’m sorry I don’t have it. It was useful.
Thank you 😀 I’ve been collecting it for more than 30 years. I don’t wear jewelry as much as I did. The dogs aren’t interested anyway, so mostly I wear earrings. Every now and then, there’s a post that asks for that color and I happily take out my stash and shoot pictures 😀
I don’t wear much jewellery either, but I have a thing for huge earrings. For some reason, people think that must mean I like chunky necklaces too and buy them for me. Maybe I should use them in photo shoots too.
I used to wear big necklaces when I was young. As I got older, they tended to get caught on stuff and break, so I stopped wearing longer ones and moved on to chokers — which I do sometimes wear — as well as a few shorter necklaces. But the big chunky ones have never suited me and although I love big earrings, I hate HEAVY earrings, some I’m big on beaded earrings which manage to be large and light. The big necklaces I still own — I either gave away or sold most of the others — are generally photo props these days. I love the color of the stones and the silverwork, but I don’t wear them. They are too heavy, they catch on things, and after a while, they make my neck itch 😀
It is many people’s favorite color, I’ve noticed. Ellin and my granddaughter, for two. Turquoise is my favorite stone. It’s not my favorite color to wear, but probably my favorite color jewelry.
Wonderful color choices for this week. Thanks Marilyn 😀

Thanks, Cee. It’s really hard to go wrong with that set of colors. No matter where you find them, they are just great colors.

Absolutely. Definitely true photographing flowers outside.

Too much light and you get burn out, too little and you get blur. Bright shade is the winner.

And you don’t wind up with burned out white flashes. It’s like shooting with lights, indoors, with umbrellas.
