ENIGMATIC WOMAN OF MYSTERY

A Mystery Wrapped in an Enigma

Everybody knows everything they need to know about me. If you don’t know it, either there’s nothing to know, or if I tell you, I’ll have to kill you.

Who is that woman of mystery?

    • Especially when we wear sunglasses and a hat with a brim 🙂 We are then ULTRA mysterious.

      • I plan on buying a big sun hat, and I’ll blog about why in a bit… there’s my mystery! hahahaha!

        • I am very sorry hats are not stylish anymore. I LOVE hats. Big sun hats, little cloche hats, hats with feathers. I miss them.

          • Wear ’em. Who cares what’s in style? Parasols have long been out of style, but I walked around the South for years in the middle of summer with a big ol’ golf umbrella because I didn’t want to get burned. I could give a rat’s ass if people thought I looked stupid. I have Irish skin and it burns in seconds. Plus, I had a folding fan in every purse because it’s freakin’ HOT in the South and I like fans.

Hmmm. It’s coming on summer here too. I wonder where my fans are.

            • I wore hats for years, but then came Boston. Wind tunnels. And car seats suddenly all had head rests (they didn’t, earlier in my life) and the brims were in the way. I had to tie them to my head, chase them down the street, or take them off so I could sit properly in the car. I finally gave up. I have winter hats, rain hats, baseball hats, and a few sun hats, but both large brimmed hats and umbrellas don’t work out well in the wind.

It’s a known “thing.” Not even a baseball cap unless it’s clipped to your hair or tied down. Umbrellas are useless. I keep a big one in the car because well, maybe it’ll be useful someday. I also keep hats in the car for the same reason, but this region has constant wind. I suppose that’s why wind turbines are becoming so popular.
