    Hilarious! I grew to mildly hate squirrels when living in England, as they stole EVERY food I put out for the birds (closely followed by the pigeons!!!). I had aplenty photos of swirrels, pigeons AND cats squatting in the birds’ houses….!
    I especially loved the running comment in the second video. Boy oh boy, the time some lovely people spend in doing these things, you have to admire them! But why not!!!

      In their own way. My first sister-in-law of the now passed away first husband spent a lot of time during her Ph.D. studies working with birds. Parrots and other birds that sometimes talk and make pretty good pet birds ARE smart, sometimes very smart. But raptors — hawks, eagles, vultures, et al — are very smart at what they are good at, which is hunting. They aren’t smart about anything else, but they are great at their specialty. Kind of like some doctors I know.

    I’ve heard of Carling Black Label before, but have never seen a commercial for it…. nor was familiar with this ad. I did a post almost five years ago that featured a bunch of classic commercials that featured squirrels… I just went back and looked at it, and most of the embedded YouTube videos have since been removed… which is what sucks about using YouTube videos in posts is that they almost always seem to eventually get taken down for stupid copyright reasons.

      Or they are no longer relevant to the advertising “group’s” goals. But this one was genuinely funny. If I had the time and the tools, it’s the kind of thing I’d do.
