NEARING PEAK FOLIAGE

FALL’S HERE! NOW WE HURRY BEFORE IT ENDS

We waited. Would it be a good one? Would this year glow and would the weather cooperate? You really never know. Weather is always the key element in our seasons and ours has been strange.

Completely natural (except for cropping)
Look closely — Garry’s in that woods!

  1. That last one is a corker! My best ever autumn was in Canada when the world was aglow in red and gold….. this is pretty close to my memories!

  5. Wonderful again. How you get those reflections so clearly is a mystery to me, but that last shot needs to be on the October page of a calendar. Couldn’t represent autumn any better than that. 🙂

  8. Beautiful scenes! Illinois was supposed to reach “peak” last week, and we are still waiting! A few trees are reluctantly showing fall colors, but on other trees the leaves just went from green to withered!

    • It’s kind of amazing here right now. in theory, we’ll peak next week, but I was outside earlier and a lot of leaves are beginning to fall, so I have a feeling this IS peak. We waited a long time too. The color change is more than 2 weeks late, but once we began to catch up, we did it in a hurry — more or less overnight!
