They really aren’t purple. They are closer to a pinkish — nearly red — plus lavender. These are among the prettiest orchids I’ve ever seen and when they rebloom, I really hope the retain this color. It is exceptionally lovely by the window. Translucent and nearly glowing, it’s center isn’t dark, but deep red and white with hints of yellow. Honestly, they are the most beautiful orchids ever. I took more pictures of them today and I drew them last night.
