Our swing is in good shape. It needs cleaning up — this has been a filthy winter — but it was made by the Mennonites and it’s very well done.
Ah, how I loved horses! I’d still ride if I could.

For now, at least, they will return. Late, but they’ll get here. Less than 2 weeks. Promise. After that, though … then what?

Oddly last year was a rather cool summer. Just a few steamy days and the rest, rather …. mild. Buggy, but mild. I think what’s really happening is indeed chaotic. We really don’t know what’s happening. We know why it’s happening, scientifically and to some degree, where … but overall … we know things are changing. The climate is changing. The storms are changing. The calendar means … well … we know what relationship the sun has to the earth at least by tilt … but what that means to our weather? That we don’t know.
Pat Gerber said it well “We act like we have another earth just waiting for us around the bend.”
I’m pretty sure we don’t and won’t.
