Would you prefer to receive a unicycle, bicycle, tricycle or motorcycle?
Um, none of the above. My balance is g-o-n-e. Even a tricycle sounds threatening.
How about a nice little convertible sports car? An MG or a classic Mercedes? No? Then … never mind.
What is one thing you’d like to accomplish this year?
Survive. I want to be here next year!
What was one of the highlights of 2016 for you?
Arizona — all two and a half weeks of it — was one long high point.
Election night was the lowest point of the decade, not merely the year.
Would you prefer to fly a kite or fly in a hot air balloon?
Oh, I’ve wanted to go up in a hot air balloon forever. It’s one of the very few things I’ve always wanted to do and I’ve just never been in the right place at the right time. I did go gliding, though, when I was in England. That was totally ultra super cool!
There a company that offers tours of Europe in hot air balloons. Not surprisingly, it’s a bit pricey for us … but that would be a definitely dream come true! In the meantime, I’d settle for any little hot air balloon ride … anywhere.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Mostly, I’m celebrating the freedom from celebrating. And we seem to be finally getting over the virus that has haunted us for the past month, coming and going. Remarkably, I’m very pleased to have a real vacuum. I never knew how much we needed it. You sort of get used to the dirt.
Next week, Garry and I are going to afford pedicures for both of us. We deserve it.

Well, I hope to declutter and clean my office. I think we have a goal of trying to keep our upstairs area tidy. Not major goals but they still remain to be done. I need to DO and not just talk about doing.

Albuquerque, NM has a hot air balloon festival every October. Check it out some time and you might be able to check that one off of your bucket list.

I almost made it here. We had a little festival and I was next in line when they said the balloon needed refilling because of the cold night and they closed it down. How near, yet so far!

It’s one of the few things I miss about living in Albuquerque, the balloon festival. Actually, I love seeing random balloons just flying about in the cooler weather. It was awesome.

I have always loved the sight of them. There’s also something incredibly romantic about hot air balloons. Too many viewing of “Around the World in 80 Days” you think?

Perhaps I could still master a tricycle, but otherwise forget the whole thing. I do not have a must for a hot air balloon, but why not – I just do not know how to get into it. I have two Dysons, the big one and the smaller one hanging on the wall to get uploaded with electricity, and I love both vacuum cleaners. No longer want any other sort.

I’m just glad to have any vacuum that really picks up dust. It’s a Bissell. The Dysons are simply too expensive for me.
I just love the idea of floating across the landscape. Unless they show up again locally, I doubt it will happen because while I’d love to float across Europe, that’s not in the cards. I’m not even up for a long bit of traveling in the US. My bones are screaming this morning. It’s icy and rainy and damp and my joints don’t like it one bit. I’m definitely not up for anything out of or off of which I could fall!
